Archocentrus octofaciatus

Originally found in the waters of Nicaragua, the electric blue dempsey is a relatively peaceful cichlid that can cohabitate with other mild-mannered tropical fish such as barbs and gouramis.

While blue dempsey juveniles are less colorful, the adults develop a stunning electric blue coloration. They will reach an adult size of 8 to 10 inches.
